Client Services Engineer
Provide on-site hardware break/fix and systems administration support to clients. Perform moderately complex installations, repairs, upgrades and maintenance on hardware and equipment. Responsible for daily management of Metric Data Reporting, monitoring the Clarify queues, and problem resolution. Resolve customer problems and answer questions. Serve as liaison between the company and customers. Convey customer concerns/feedback to management as required. Operates under the general supervision of an area Team Lead on a daily basis. Reports to a Regional Client Services Manager. Typically requires two to three years of field support experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Familiarity and experience with Sun UNIX (Solaris 2.6 and up), HPUX and Windows operating systems.
- Experience in performing hardware break/fix activities on Sun, HP, HP/Compaq and Dell platforms.
- Experience and/or certification in System Administration for SUN, HPUX, & Windows environments.
- General familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts, Veritas, Net Backup, & Disk Suite / Volume Manager
- Good verbal and written communication skills
