That's the energy and excitement behind Amazon. Control Buyer, Kitchen The Control Buyer works as part of the category management team, including category buyer and site merchandiser. This role reports to category leader, DMM. As part of this team, the control buyer co-owns the end to end product relationship, from manufacturer to customer.  Responsibilities Manage inventory, open-to-buy and inventory health Participate in manufacturer and vendor reviews; drive vendor scorecard excellence Liaison with operations and communicate operational impact of sourcing decisions Manage inbound shipments: fill rate, ASNs, operational issues, lead time Analyze inventory position, landed cost and sku performance to determine inventory liability, determine exit strategy for unproductive inventoryStrong partnership and teamwork is essential to drive toward common goals. The successful candidate must possess the ability to operate from a company-wide perspective and encourage cross-functional and cross-business project development. The Control Buyer works closely on promotional strategies and in creating overall business strategy that optimizes company goals of margin, in-stock, and free cash-flow.
