Convergence Specialist- Req #047-08

 

Do you have an eye for design and a background in advertising and web development?  Do you love working in a fast-paced television news environment?

 

This is a hands-on position, making and managing ad creative, guiding sales in understanding ad inventory and discovering better methods for generating revenue through sponsorable content elements. The ideal candidate must have proven ability to manage web production and previous experience in working with advertisers in web site development.

 

Based at a network owned station in New York City. Work is all on-site at the TV station.

 

Essential Job Functions:Creates and manages ad creative for sales clients.Creates and manages sponsored sections, microsites and other major sales-driven web development projects.Facilitates all ad requests for website; monitors ad performance; communicates online inventory to Sales team.Serves as a liaison between between sales and ad operations.Allocates inventory to specific campaigns, creates and designs content for a range of advertising solutionsAids Account Executives in preparation of sales proposals.Works with the sales team and agencies to create and implement innovative advertising campaigns.Compiles reports about progress of ongoing campaigns.Creates and helps maintain special sections of the Web site as assigned, including, but not limited to, news, sports, health, community, environment and politics. Oversees special Web projects developed by the staff by using latest technology available.

 

Qualifications & Competencies:A bachelor degree in design, marketing, advertising or communications preferred. 2+ years interactive marketing experience.Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Flash proficiency, HTML, Dreamweaver, web authoring, PowerPoint.Familiarity with video, actionscript and javascript.Experience in news organization a plus.Must have the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.Needs to be a self-starter, self-motivated but also have the ability to take direction.
