You’ll work closely with our product and business managers, customer experience team and designers to conceive, articulate, create and maintain marketing content across global sites. Your primary focus will be online marketing campaigns and e-mail copy.As part of our customer experience team, you’ll be a polished communicator with an action-oriented focus capable of solving communication challenges and developing original solutions. A keen familiarity with trends in online and direct marketing, online community, email and advertising in general, along with a deep knowledge of the interactive digital space is required. Responsibilities:•Copywriting for predominantly an online environment including site content, banner advertisements, offsite marketing campaigns, email newsletters. Some involvement with offline advertising and direct marketing initiatives.•Support CRM initiatives with copy intended to persuade and drive readers to an action – direct marketing bias•Adapt offline materials for online purposes using proper word usage to ensure compliance with anti-spam legislation, and drive key conversion events•Provide fresh content/copy for editorially maintained areas on our home pages. •Provide custom copy based on user behavior and customer segments. •Partner with the SEO team to make certain all copy is optimized for search engines as appropriate.•Provide copy for global online travel alerts•Conduct research as needed for assigned writing projects.•Collaborate with design, product managers and business owners to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives•Works with art director and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style, and, intuitive labeling Requirements:•Degree in English or Journalism, Communications or a related field.•Minimum 5 years experience as either a copywriter in online environments for a consumer brand. (Anti-SPAM, SEO/SEM experience a plus)•Experience with interactive media and direct marketing•A strong understanding of direct marketing and advertising principles including demonstrated success in copy optimization for key conversion events, actions in email and web.•Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines•Sound understanding of visual design and a keen appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements. •Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.•Ability to work independently and in a team environment.•Online experience and fluency in other languages not required, but a plus.
