Oracle Database Administrator

We currently have an opening for an Oracle Database Administrator in our New York metro area offices (Mountainside, NJ; Darien, CT; NYC) or Peoria, IL

 

Responsibilities:Ÿ Monitor and maintain database systems, provide enhancements for future growthŸ Implement necessary administrative procedures to monitor database systemsŸ Tune the databases for optimal performanceŸ Troubleshoot performance or application problemsŸ Install Oracle database software on Linux, apply patches to the databaseŸ Implement and monitor the backup systems for enterprise databasesŸ Support software development and content life cycle activity

 

Requirements:

 Ÿ Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four year college or universityŸ Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Ÿ Proficiency with use of Oracle database, SQL scripting and UNIX shell programmingŸ Familiarity with Linux OS and toolsŸ Experience with Oracle RAC technology, Grid Control or Oracle Text is a plusŸ Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skillsŸ Good communication and organizational skills
