Database Analyst

Sabra Dipping Company is seeking a Database analyst to assist in the creation of reporting tools using Business objects. This position will also need to assist the IT department as a whole on other projects and maintenance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop applications using C# and ASP.NET, SQL 2005, ODBC connectivity. 2. SQL server 2005 and MS Access and VBA knowledge.3. Design, develop and test views based on multiple databases. 4. Design and develop Business Objects Crystal decision Webii reports. 5. Serve as application specialist for application problems and emergencies. 6. Conduct technical research on 3rd party tools 7. Recommend programming solutions for short, medium, and long-term development projects. 8. Work as a team member with other technical staff such as network administrators and system developers. 9. Document application problems and resolutions for future reference. 10. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the application. 11. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Knowledge of company supported development platforms such as: • 2 + years experience with enterprise software using VB.Net/VB6 and SQL2005 is required. • Expert knowledge of relational databases, SQL 2000, 2005, SQL queries, views, Joins and stored procedures. • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot software • Must possess a high level of attention to detail, the ability to effectively multitask, have excellent time management skills, and be able to work collaboratively. • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. 2. This is normally acquired through a combination of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field), 2+ years of experience 3. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
