We are currently looking for a Database Developer

 

Job Summary:

The Database Developer is responsible for coding/reviewing SQL stored procedures, performance and database tuning, data flow, and report design. This individual is  primarily responsible for the writing optimized T-SQL in the form of stored procedures and maintaining and growing an existing schema.  

 

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities

§ Effectively communicate and interact with both functional and technical personnel in solving complex business and technical problems.

§ Ability to complete tasks within critical timelines and work well in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

§ Develop and document technology architectural standards

§ Code stored procedures, views, functions, tables and other database oriented items as needed.

§ Analyze data structures and create custom reports in transact SQL

§ Maintain and enhance the current repository of stored procedures

§ Assist in the continuous enhancement of our overnight data calculation and manipulation routines 

§ Performs other job-related duties as required.

§ Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

§ Experience with VB script and HTML

§ Experience supporting and working in a project development and support environment with ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly.

§ Thorough understanding and skill of Windows operating system and database concepts.

§ Outstanding coding and testing skills required.

§ Have an analytical mind and the ability to delve into detail, but also have an interest in broader business issues.

§ Ability to interface with personnel at all levels of the company.

§ Exceptional communications (written and oral)

§ Customer service focus in a team environment

 

Computer & Software Experience

§ Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word

§ VB script and HTML

§ SQL Server

 

Education & Business Experience

§ College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience.

§ 5+ years database development experience working in a complex environment, with experience in SQL Server
