TechTarget is seeking a Desktop and AV specialist for our Needham office whose primary responsibilities will include Windows PC support and conference AV support. Desktop support will be 60% of your time and AV support will be 40% of your time. This position will require you to travel 12 times a year to support our conference AV and pc support needs. You will also be required to work on call as needed. The position reports to the Director of IT Operations, Corporate Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to combine AV and desktop support experience into a working knowledge of enterprise server environments.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 Configuration and deployment of Windows XP, Vista, MAC OSX and other platforms;Installation and troubleshooting of a variety of software applications;Remedial training for end users;Hardware support and RMA management using our Dell Premier service;End user support for a 500 user office and our 3 remote locations;Conference AV planning, setup and tear down;Onsite AV support for conference audio and video systems;Telephone setup and deployment including moves adds and changes;New account setups and deployments;Miscellaneous Exchange 2003 tasks; Project responsibilities as assigned;Cell Phone and email device management;Attend conference meetings.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

 1-2 years of desktop and AV support experience;Must have experience with Windows XP and MS office applications;Working knowledge of Windows Server environments;Working knowledge of audio equipment, cabling & systems such as projectors, video, DVD recorders, EQ’s, mixers, and LCD’s;Ability to troubleshoot operational audio and video equipment. Strong Powerpoint skills;Ability to lift 100lbs;Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proven trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills;Strong demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction;Skills in the following technologies/areas are also desired; Presentation Pros, audio/video digital recorders, SalesLogix, Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Exchange/Outlook environments, Nortel phone systems, Windows 2003 server environments.
