Our members continue to come back to these sites in order to interact with people of similar backgrounds and interests; to establish meaningful relationships; to find out about the latest news in politics, culture, music, entertainment and the job market; and to gain access to innovative tools and services.DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:Strategy• Lead the development and evolution of an online consumer retention and engagement strategy for all Community Connect brands. – Understand & define customer needs – Identify drivers of retention/engagement– Track and measure results – Analyze, refine & optimize programs• Design measurable campaigns/programs to support site/business goals and objectives• Focus on executing industry leading online/email marketing programs against existing and prospect customers• Strategies and campaigns tied directly to site/business objectivesExecution• Manage the entire retention/engagement marketing campaign process– Prepare project/campaign scope documentation– Define test matrices with projected/targeted conversion rates– Execute scalable processes to identify and execute on opportunities for new online/viral marketing efforts geared towards maximizing retention and engagement– Interface and coordinate with the development/production teams to ensure campaign asset development and overall campaign execution– Manage a creative team in the development of targeting, media and creative strategies; the production of creative materials, and the day to day management of multiple retention/engagement programs– Manage the email marketing process, including deliverability metrics and/or email creation• Manage the marketing campaign optimization and key learnings process– Lead the internal communications process on campaign execution & results– Articulate/define measurement and tracking criteria– Draw logical, data-based conclusions that lead to continuous improvement of our marketing efficiency & efficacy through constant testing and evaluation of all campaign parameters against site/business goals– Create and manage weekly/cumulative reports to analyze campaign performance and survey results– Propose recommendations for increasing site traffic through optimized open/click through/conversion rates, or introduction of new campaigns– Support the maintenance of acquisition and promotions marketing budget. JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:The Online Consumer Retention Marketing Manager is responsible managing and increasing retention and consumer engagement for members who join the social networking sites: AsianAve.com, BlackPlanet.com, FaithBase.com, GLEE.com and MiGente.com. As the primary point of contact/gate keeper for consumer retention & engagement communications strategies, the candidate should have sound understating of email/online marketing, optimization of the online user experience, and online consumer engagement strategies. There is full ownership over retention and consumer engagement programs, and an opportunity to directly link strategic efforts to improved site and business results/performance.Required SkillsQUALIFICATION & SKILLSThe ideal candidate will have:• Leadership experience in online marketing, retention and consumer engagement and be able to speak comfortably about online marketing methods• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from inception with a strong bias for action• Proven track-record of being able to understand the needs of customers and translating that into measurable, efficient marketing communications campaigns• Hands on knowledge of online community, online social networks, and online services marketing • Strong technical understanding of internet technologies and the operations of a commercial web site.• Contributes to the development of online best practices and standards, and is responsible for staying current with online marketing trends, evaluating technologies and programs, and recommending how and when to best take advantage of them• Be highly analytical and intellectually curious, with strong written and verbal communication skills• Be detail-oriented and hands-on, and be calm in the face of fast-moving environments. • Must be self motivated, have good interpersonal skills, be adaptable and able to juggle multiple priorities at the same time• Understanding of CPM & CPA marketing experience preferred.Required ExperienceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• BA/BS Degree• 4+ years experience working in new media; online; or social networks• Good understanding of the evolution of online marketing technologies and strategies; • Understands marketing and the importance of online community relationships• Strong grasp of and demonstrated success in online viral and retention marketing• Must have active product/industry knowledge, and actively study competitive landscape• Strong editing skills, with good command of grammar, punctuation, and some writing basics• Must be a self-starter and a creative thinker with a no-nonsense, can-do attitude• Ability to handle a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently, and with a minimal supervision• Cooperative and able to work well in a team, but also able to accomplish tasks and projects independently• Must be have an ability to be a major contributor and have a significant impact on site consumer traffic, retention and engagement• Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy, and enthusiasm for a fast-paced environmentPlease apply directly at: http://hostedjobs.openhire.com/epostings/jobs/submit.cfm?fuseaction=dspjob&jobid=258347&company_id=15784&jobboardid=24 Community Connect Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
