Director, North America Shared Services

Manage the North America Shared Services Accounting Operations, including but not limited to; accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, VM/Supplier and Genpact 3rd party transactional activities. Manage the North America monthly and quarterly close process including financial statement (balance sheet, income statement and cash flows) review with corporate and international locations, and business groups to ensure integrity of the financial statements. Monitor P2P processes and improve the process to reduce pending issues and aged invoices Assist Human Resource Group for their initiatives that will impact Payroll processes andadvise appropriately Responsible for the risk assessment of account reconciliations and monitoring the implementation of new accounting standards including ensuring the accounting, processes, and controls are accurate and effective. Manage the relationship with external auditors and ensure that the quarterly review and the annual audit go smooth without any audit issues/risks Responsible for the accuracy of schedules provided to SEC reporting group in conjunction with 10-k/Q preparation Responsible for monitoring Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance and ensure that required documentation is updated Responsible for reviewing and signing-off on the statutory audit for the entities managed by the North America Shared Services Proactively monitor current FASB and SEC requirement Manage the accounting, policies, and processes related to certain corporate accounting owned areas including foreign currency transaction, stock-based compensation, goodwill, intangibles, impairments, and Intercompany transactions Manage an internal eBay team of 25 FTEs and approximately. 24 FTEs at our 3rd party outsourcing provider in India.  Qualifications: Excellent communication skills Certified Public Accountant, equivalent certification and/or proficiency in US GAAP MBA is a plus At least 12 years accounting and management experience including previous experience as in a corporate controllership function, preferably in the high technology industry, and at least 5 years of Big 4 experience. Experience with SAP ERP Environment is a plus Recognized as technical expert related to GAAP and reporting including SEC reporting, stock option accounting, mergers and acquisitions, software revenue recognition, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
