Director, Online Audience Development - Home Division

Los Angeles-based Internet Brands, Inc. is currently seeking a Director of Online Audience Development in our Home Division. The ideal person is a product marketing & SEO minded individual who can lead our online audience development efforts within our Home Division.Position Description: Define, develop and manage strategies and projects related to driving traffic to our Home Division websites.  Manage a team consisting of developers, analysts and content managers responsible for: o Understanding the audience coming to each of our sites, and defining these visitors based on various factors (demographics, source, etc.).o Tracking trends in site traffic and analyzing causes of such changes.o Implementing search engine optimization activities including site structure and content strategies.o Evaluating keywords used in search queries bringing visitors to our sites, and quantifying the potential traffic from each keyword.o Reviewing the search rank strength of our sites versus those of our competitors, and identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for improving our traffic from search engines.o Evaluating breakdowns of traffic among sections of our sites, as well as the click flow through our sites, and making recommendations for improving this traffic.o Evaluating per-click costs of paid online marketing as well as per-visitor revenue generated by on-site advertising, and supporting our team in leveraging this analysis to maximize the profitability of our sites.This position will work closely with the General Manager of the Home Division and the technical, marketing and sales teams as well as interact regularly with external partners. Job Requirements:o Previous experience in the production of website or web-related projects with exposure to optimizing sites for search engines.o Knowledge of and experience with SEO analysis and keyword research tools.o In-depth knowledge of trends in online communities and social media desired.o A strong customer service orientation and the ability to foster relationships are a necessity.o Experience in online publishing including HTML, web editing software, and content management tools necessary. Familiarity with RSS, downloadable and streaming media, Web 2.0 technologies, social media and social networking. o Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.o Exceptional degree of intelligence, analytic skill, conceptual thinking, common sense and leadership.
