Position Description

We’re looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to join our Engineering team in leading our efforts to ensure that our products are developed with the highest level of quality possible.  In this highly visible role you will have the opportunity to define, implement and manage company wide quality assurance policies and practices.  This will include managing, and continuing to build, our team of Quality Assurance Professionals as well as working closely with Software Development to maintain the quality of our world class payment processing and risk management services.  Additionally, we’re looking for this Director to bring a clear vision of the future of Quality Assurance.  This will include staying abreast of emerging technologies and “Best Practices” to incorporate these into the continued evolution of our Product Development Lifecycle.

Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExperience building, motivating & mentoring teams  Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work as a close-knit team with Software DevelopmentA proven track record creating & meeting the highest quality standardsExperience with high-transaction volume & 24X7 availability production environments is a strong plusExperience working with cross-functional teams in multiple departmentsExpert knowledge of software quality analysis including.Strong knowledge of web technologies with experience in automating test suites for both Web-based and server-side applications Both black box and white box testing experience Outsourcing/Offshoring experience desiredExperienced at leading & improving Product Development Lifecycle process and best practices adoptionDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & to resolve scheduling & other conflicts in order to meet objectives. Demonstrated ability to manage short release cycles Ability to gain acceptance of others regarding Quality Assurance direction and decisions. Demonstrated track record of leading teams to create products on-time and on-budget

 

QualificationsBS with advanced degree preferred (e.g. MS, PhD. in Computer Science)Must have 10+ years significant experience in Quality Assurance.Must have 5+ years managing Quality Assurance teams in an Internet/Java/J2EE, Unix, Middleware or development tools environmentMust have 2+ years as a Director of Quality Assurance for a software technology company, managing teams of 10+ people.
