You will report to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and will have responsibility for creating and executing analyses to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives across Expedia, Inc. directing the development of the Company’s strategic plan and evaluating potential business development opportunities along financial and strategic lines. Responsibilities will also include identifying acquisition candidates and leading acquisition processes. You will be expected to lead, to coordinate or to provide senior support on all aspects of your projects. You will work on a project-by-project basis with senior members of the corporate development team and other senior executives including the CEO and CFO. • Engaging directly with line of business leaders to advance strategic projects while anticipating potential interests in and sensitivities to possible outcomes.• Identifying acquisition candidates and developing strategic relationships.• Coordinating and implementing acquisition and partnership agreements including transaction negotiations and legal. documentation.• Performing and overseeing industry research to highlight underlying category trends and competitive dynamics.• Identifying and developing key 5 year strategic initiatives to improve operational performance and competitive positioning.• Developing tangible financial and operational targets and objectives.• Conducting analyses to prioritize scarce resources in light of strategic initiatives.• Communicating strategic priorities and findings to senior management.• Developing detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for potential business development, acquisition and partnership opportunities.QUALIFICATIONS:• 2 years post-MBA or equivalent experience required; ideally 2+ years in a top-tier management consulting, investment banking or investment firm.• Solid interpersonal skills (externally and internally at all levels).• Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with experience communicating with senior managers and managing junior professionals. Proven track record of defining and executing key analyses with minimal supervision.• Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research and presentation creation.EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree required; MBA highly preferred.EXPEDIA RECRUITER: Scott Corrigan.Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 25%
