Director of Web Application Development - C#, ASP.NET, SQL

Based in beautiful San Francisco, CA, we are a small, but very successful and profitable internet company that provides web-based legal compliance solutions to Fortune 500 companies. We are currently looking to hire for a Director of Web Development and Data Architecture to serve as our organization's point person on all technology-related software product initiatives and will be responsible for building and managing our current and next-generation Web application platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a strong hands-on programming background in Web applications development (.NET Frameworks), data architecture, design and implementation of data solutions and shall have significant demonstrable experience developing and implementing both common solutions and custom software systems. Roles and Responsibilities: ~Leads IT team through key projects intersecting the business cross-departmentally. ~Provides hands-on application and data architecture development and project leadership expertise for end-user, customer and internal administrative portals. ~Evaluates and selects new technologies staying current with Web-services industry trends ~Solves complex technical problems related to application, data and customer solution implementations. ~Identifies customer requirements and market directions and productizes these factors into sellable products and services ~Defines, analyzes, tracks and improves key product metrics Requirements: 1.) 5+ years minimum experience as a technical manager/director responsible for managing fast-paced software development teams and projects. Must have experience building and managing a strong engineering team.2.) 5-10+ years of hands on experience developing web-based database-driven applications in a .NET Framework environment. You must have hands on experience developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.3.) Proven record of "getting things done". Must have entrepreneurial drive with a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment4.) Experience from concept/design to production of Web platforms that have been through multiple product cycles.5.) Comfortable prioritizing among competing opportunities, balancing customer needs with business priorities, and articulating the rationale behind decisionsNice to Have Skills: 1.) Hands-on experience developing solutions using the following technologies would be helpful: Javascript/VBscript, XML, AJAX, Web Services, SalesForce, SCORM, .NET Framework 3.0, SQL 2007, API, 3rd party integration2.) Experience with e-Learning applications and content management is helpful.3.)
