 Disaster Recovery Project Manager Long Term Contract Location: HoustonThe Disaster Recovery Project Manager is responsible for creating and testing technical Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, updating it as it is needed, managing the disaster recovery process and planning for the disaster recovery functions of IT. In addition, during a disaster this individual is responsible for the execution of the disaster recovery plan. The manager is also responsible for planning to provide the highest level of protection possible for the enterprise and coordinating with the security functions of the enterprise. Will manage to step by step recovery effort, generating detailed status updates for management and clients, and coordinate priorities for new server builds for quick shipped items. Must be a proven IT disaster recovery project manager with a focus on 'Global' requirements--network, mainframe, email, open systems and security. DRII Certification is highly desirable. i.e. MBCP, CBCP or ABCP  Familiarity with Open System Environments  i.e. they are using Solaris and XP and Windows 2003  Conversant in Lingo.
