E-Commerce Usability and Interface Designer
Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Creative/Design Career/Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Years of Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Reference Code: M-180-md-41696 E-Commerce Usability and Interface Designer Our Client is a well known consumer package goods company in Montgomery County, PA. The client is eager to bring on a few top notch E-Commerce professionals. There are several positions that are scheduled to start right away and run 3-6+ months. In this role you will work with software engineers and business analysts to design, document and deliver timely user interface designs.Work with customers to gather usability requirements, present designs and prototypes, conduct onsite and offsite usability studies, capture feedback, and maintain credible relationships.Understand the user base, the products, and their interaction; be able to identify problem areas and create innovative solutions that improve the user experience.Demonstrate the ability to create rough drafts, wire frames, click-throughs, prototypes, and to apply standard usability engineering principles as part of the software development lifecycle.Consistently produce aesthetic, well-organized, grammatically correct, highly usable designs, and maintain a high level of consistency in designs, corporate branding, and look and feel.Demonstrate team skills, effective communication, open-mindedness, and creativity during brainstorming exercises, design sessions, and other collaborative efforts. Other Requirements: Minimum 5 years recent UI design and usability engineering experience with both THICK and THIN client applications developed using (but not limited to) Java, C#, C++ and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.Familiarity with UI development and design tools such as Visual Studio, Visio, Acrobat, and DreamWeaver, and such graphical tools as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.Proven ability to design user interfaces that work from both a development and user standpoint; highly reliable, with minimal oversight; an eye for design; an aptitude for usability.Extensive experience with usability studies, application design, development and deployment.Solid understanding of and experience in e-commerce, web design and development using standards such as HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript and AJAX.Bachelor's degree or above strongly preferred.Attach an MS Word version of your resume with wire frame samples.***As the first staffing company in the United States to offer benefits to temporary employees, AQUENT's contract opportunities come with the most comprehensive benefits in the industry including subsidized Medical, Vision and Dental after only 4 weeks of work!
