MLB Advanced Media (yes, MLB as in Major League Baseball) is looking for a talented ETL Developer / Data Analyst. This is a chance to take your deep understanding of databases (design and performance) and SQL and work on much more interesting and fun data than usual. From a technology standpoint, you will have access to all of the top technologies in the space - Informatica, Business Objects, Oracle, and SAS. From a business perspective, you will work in a flat organization where you will regularly interact with marketers, business unit managers, sales and sponsorship team members, as well as the rest of the technology team. MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM) is the interactive media and Internet Company of Major League Baseball. MLBAM manages the official league site, www.MLB.com, and each of the 30 individual Club sites to create the most comprehensive Major League Baseball resource on the Internet.

As an ETL Developer / Data Analyst for Major League Baseball Advanced Media, working in our New York City office, your primary task will be to apply your development and analytical skills to help our business units acquire, understand, and take advantage of their data. Working under the head of the Data Integration group you will be more than a developer, putting your refined analytical and trend spotting abilities to work on projects including ticketing, subscriptions, selling MLB gear, and more. Your careful attention to detail and honed problem solving talents will serve you well as you develop and generate SQL queries, analyze and map data, and design and coordinate cleansing activities for MLBAM customer data. And your very strong skills with SQL and Informatica ETL will entrench you as the absolute authority on data for our Data Integration, Web Analytics, and Campaign Management groups.
