Executive Director

Our clients are a GBP 400 Mn, diversified conglomerate with interests in telecoms, software, mining and manufacturing.  They have acquired this BPO in 2007, marking another major milestone in the Group’s plans to accelerate its Business Process Outsourcing operations in the UK, India and South Africa.  The company, whose turnover is approximately GBP 4 million, is a UK based inbound and outbound voice based call centre. To make it competitive in the outsourced offshore market, it plans to set up its subsidiaries in India and Johannesburg. The board would like the business to grow to GBP 20 million over the next 3 years, while expanding it from a 200 seats to 2000 seats. However, the growth should be in niche areas so that the focus is more on profitability than mere top line.

 

We have therefore been retained to select the Executive Director for this company.

 

The Key Result Areas of the Job would be to:

- Preparing a business plan involving customer acquisition, setting up of efficient global delivery model and launching new businesses through organic and inorganic growth.

- Integrate acquired companies with the common value systems of the parent organisation.

- To ensure achievement of the top line and bottom line targets as per the agreed budget.

- Improve systems and procedures for critical processes to incorporate word class systems.

- To identify gap areas in the current organisation and to induct talent to fill the gaps.

 

The position reports to the Board of the company.

 

The ideal candidate would be a high caliber engineer and/or an MBA from a reputed institute with 12-15 years of relevant experience in the ITES/IT/Services sector. The candidate should have a good track record of leading a similar business, while being part of the management team of multinational organisations involved in global delivery. Our clients are looking for a strong implementer with a proven track record who displays clear leadership qualities and vision for growth. Based on performance, the candidate can aspire to become the CEO of the company within 18-24 months.

 

Compensation is open and negotiable and would be not be a constraint for the right candidate.
