Flash Designer/Illustrator - Gamesville

Lycos is looking for a talented Flash Designer/Illustrator to join our online games team at Gamesville.com.

 

Gamesville.com develops and publishes online casual games in a variety of genres: bingo, cards, puzzles, and more. These games are played "in browser" and are enjoyed by thousands of people every day. Some of our proprietary titles include Magic 21 Jackpot, Bingo Zone®, and Frantic Fish®.

 

As our Flash Designer/Illustrator, you'll possess a strong command of visual communication; the ability to illustrate a variety of characters and icons; and design fun, usable interfaces for a casual gaming audience.

 

Projects will range from single-player and multi-player games to micro-sites and widget applications, and will entail generating new concepts and developing digital assets and Flash animations. Play an integral role in creating entirely new games and experiences.

 

Responsibilities:Work with a focused game design team to generate new concepts Create high-quality illustrations and animations Ensure designs match stated aesthetic and functional goalsTranslate designs into digital assets for use by the development team

 Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and/or 0-3 years professional experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, or IllustrationExcellent design skills--Illustration, color theory, animation, layout--with portfolio to match Working knowledge of front end ActionScript programmingWorking knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSSAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and reach required creative specificationsAbility to work effectively, and creatively, in a fast-moving, cross-functional team environmentGame audio skills a plus
