Graphic Designer

Overview:

 

Want to get noticed?  We are seeking a contract-to-permanent graphic designer with great design skills to support our retail initiatives.  This position will design and assist the production of weekly game releases and other graphic design artwork for Marketing, Sales, Advertising and Public Relations departments.

 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for what they do, a strong attention to detail, the ability to produce high-quality work quickly, and a portfolio that demonstrates some experience in designing and concepting graphics for web sites and other digital media.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Hands-on graphic design and production for multiple projects including but not limited to creating and revising the following:

 

· Product images and graphics for our e-commerce web sites

· Online ads including static, animated and Flash for both WildTangent and our network of distribution partners and affiliates

· E-mail newsletters and other electronic notifications

· Conversion screens within games

· Maintain UI specifications such as style guides and visual standards documents

· Work closely with a cross-functional team in the planning, design and implementation of effective user interfaces for existing and new projects

· Work with other designers and writers to create an effective and consistent visual look and feel

· Keeps informed of accepted practices in web design, new technologies and new tools for web site design

 

Qualifications:

 

· Design and/or production experience for retail e-commerce web sites or similar sites

· Skilled in design and web enabling software such as Photoshop and Illustrator

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to manage and prioritize projects and meet deadlines

· Design experience for game or entertainment companies highly desirable

· Good understanding of browser and accessibility issues

· Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

· Good design sensibility

· Good sense of humor – the goofier the better!

· Enjoy working in a team environment
