Internet Project Manager

A non-profit internet initiative is searching for an interim team leader to coordinate a project during its start-up phase.  The project involves eliciting and compiling submissions from actual participants in recent historical events. 

The project manager will coordinate with the technical site development firm, as well as publicize the site to potential users through innovative means.  Although technical skills (code writing or internet site development) are welcome, they are not a necessity for this position.

The interim manager will work remotely from his or her existing location.  The interim manager will be needed for a three month timeframe beginning approximately June 1. However, this position has the potential for a full time permanent position for the right person.   A teacher with the correct skill set, in search of summer employment, could also fit this requirement.

The ideal candidate will be self-directed, have a high energy level, be proactive, be exceptionally organized, have experience with internet projects, have good persuasion and team-building skills, have an outgoing personality and be able to work independently from his or her existing location.

This project is sponsored by a private donor.  Compensation is $3,000 per month, with adjustments for partial months.  Please reply with a cover letter and resume for immediate consideration.  The position can be described in more detail after a resume and cover letter are received.
