Internet Marketing Specialist


The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The Society's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has invested more than $424 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Internet Marketing Specialist will help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Chapters leverage the Internet and interactive technologies to further create a dialog with key audiences about the Society's disease information, patient services programs and fundraising opportunities.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborating with Chapter staff to develop strategic eMarketing plans that drive traffic to the Society's Web sites and convert leads to event participants
• Providing direction and guidance on the implementation of eMarketing strategies
• Assisting Chapters in developing eCommunications that clearly state the offer and assure consistent messaging
• Assisting in the testing of innovative campaign concepts and creative treatments and tracking and analyzing response rates.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with enterprise email strategies and systems
• Basic understanding of web coding/HTML
• Basic understanding of SEO and solid understanding of web graphics optimization
• Minimum preferred education: Bachelor's degree, preferable in communications
• 20% travel required


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• 4 years Internet marketing or direct marketing experience required
