We are presently accepting applications for a Junior Linux Administrator position to join our team and compliment our existing staff as our company grows. 

 

The job requirements for this position are:

q 1+ years experience in a technical environment with at least 4 months of customer service experience.

q Experience running Linux. 

q Operational knowledge of apache, qmail, bind, exim, proftpd, and mysql.

q Must be able to lift 45 lbs.

q Must be able to work flexible hours (shift rotations)

As a Junior Linux / Junior Unix Administrator within our organization your day to day responsibilities will include:

 

q Working directly with our clients to provide first level response support via inbound phone calls and tickets. 

q Providing assistance to clients with requests such as setting up DNS and Reverse DNS entries. 

q Providing support to clients in shared hosting environments.

q Providing support for a variety of control panel software such as Plesk, cPanel, h-sphere and others. 

q Performing routine OS reinstalls through kickstart and CD installations.

q Performing customer hardware replacement support

q Escalating issues and providing written documentation on higher end support matters.
