Manager of Front End Web Development
A major media firm located in the SoHo area of NYC is currently looking for a Manager of Front End Development. You will be leading a team of front end developers acting as a technical leader/mentor to junior staff as well as being a bridge between the technical and business communities.
Candidates should have come up through the ranks and have a strong technical background in HTML/DHTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, etc. You will be working on very high traffic websites so the ideal person will have similar experience. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to interact effectively with both technical and non technical users alike. Candidates also need to understand the business needs and how they affect the development processes. While the ideal candidate will have all of these things the firm is willing to consider a team lead who has excellent technical abilities and has demonstrated leadership skills in his/her current position.
