The full-time Marketing Associate position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of print publication schedules, media flow charts, deadline and control sheets, generation of insertion orders, trafficking materials, maintaining tear sheet files and processing and approving invoices.  This position will also handle day-to-day internal creative project management and guidance in accordance with an established workflow process, which requires the ability to meet deadlines and client deliverables.  This position will also coordinate online house ads campaigns for the company, including coordination of creative and scheduling.  This position requires marketing, advertising, print buying, critical writing, communication and project coordination skills. 

 

Job Functions:

 

· Supporting V.P. of Marketing, Marketing Director, Marketing Managers and other marketing staff with any advertising programs

· Working with all Advance Publication Inc. Newspapers and other print publications on buying and placing all company print advertisements

· Ordering all newspaper space – verbally and with written insertion orders

· Understanding all newspaper contracts, rates, positioning and make goods

· Confirming rates, contract levels, deadlines, shipping instructions and mechanical requirements

· Checking mechanicals for correct sizes, color breakdown, broken type or rules, crooked type, trap lines, etc. Check all art work for correct version, quantity and understand use. If you foresee any problem with art, inform the proper parties ASAP.

· Checking tear sheets (i.e., Tear sheet verification for all print buys)

· Developing and maintaining newspaper archives

· Keeping on top of all trends and changes in the newspaper and magazine industry

· Trafficking all materials

· Requesting Media Kits

· Managing all Creative details for internal clients throughout the project to ensure that action-items are accomplished on a timely and accurate basis

· Obtaining internal approvals for Creative deliverables

· Creating, updating and maintaining schedules and consulting team leaders for approvals

· Enforcing a systematic, well documented yet flexible process which provides solid guidelines for Creative

· Coordinating online house ad Creative, scheduling, maintaining online house ad library and tracking system.

· Working with Advance Internet departments and Affiliates on advertising needs

· Supporting and helping execute marketing and advertising plans and strategies

· Coordinating variety of marketing projects with Advertising Agencies

· Maintaining positive working relationships with Print and online reps

· Any other departmental administrations tasks assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

At least 1-2 years full-time experience in a corporate marketing department

4-year college degree, preferably with a marketing degree
