Job Category Sales/Retail/Business Development Merchandise Manager --- Bloomingdale's Direct New York  Key Responsibilities: Product Creation Function Ensure Catalog products are created in OZ in time for launch dates Timely creation of products in OZ for Internet only product based on Project code release dates- this includes attributing, navigation, image number creation and search for all newly created pages Identify key products that need to be launched for either category ad or catalog launch dates- prioritize these with Copy and Creative Creation of Master Pages and correct templates as needed Ensure testing is for all release dates is followed  Creative Brief and Ad Function Work with the Creative and Buying team on the creation of Site Ads using data from Coremetrics- ensure that all Project Briefs are submitted in a timely manner On a monthly basis report to the Buyers on Ad performance and give specific information on performance and conversion Create Ads in OZ using images supplied by Creative- ensure these are uploaded in time for thorough testing Link Ads to categories using best practice- Use Coremetrics to identify best practices Merchandising Function Ensure the categories of responsibility follow the site merchandising standards Coremetrics- Analyze site traffic and conversion metrics to optimize category merchandizing of navigation structure- also use this to help create effective category page Ads Work with Buyers on Key Item lists- these items should be sequenced to the front of categories With the help of the Marketing Calendar look for opportunities to merchandise promotions and sale events- test these before launch Ensure key event setup is completed in a timely manner and that sufficient time is made to test navigation Develop category structure and product placement strategy through analytics Ensure all products work with as part of the Search process Test Promotions before launch Reporting Function Live view capture of Category Pages- Look for improvements and identify strong performing Ads- recap these in a monthly format Monthly reporting of Coremetrics data as part of a monthly update for the Buyers and Creative Team- identify opportunities to improve navigation and conversion Strategy Suggest Site Enhancements Ensure training for new Assistants On a monthly basis use competitive analysis to develop ideas for new enhancements, marketing ideas and navigational changes- discuss these with the Buyers and Creative teamSkills Summary: Minimum of 2-3 years experience Strong analytical and PC skills Strong negotiation skills Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management Bloomingdale's is an Equal Opportunity Employer MFDV
