Merchant Product Manager, Home and Garden The Amazon.com Home & Garden team is looking for a results-oriented, talented, smart and experienced team player to expand Amazon’s gross merchandise sales (GMS) in Home & Garden by leveraging third party sellers and partnerships.  The Merchant Product Manager (MPM) will make a big impact on the performance and satisfaction of Home & Garden third-party sellers, by managing specific Amazon.com partner relationships. The MPM is an advocate for 3rd-party sellers, in concert with site merchandising, product management, retail merchandising, technical account management, and merchant integration and focuses, with colleagues, on driving GMS, net revenue, and customer satisfaction.  In addition, the MPM is a tireless advocate for Amazon.com and our customer and is experienced in dealing with complex implementations, strategic partnerships and impact decisions.  While a doer, the MPM will “wear the big hat” by developing long-lasting structure processes to ensure that the organization scales with needs.Specifically, the MPM will:-Drive our day-to-day relationship with key partners (primarily other major retailers and specialty retailers). Maximize the bottom-line results of these relationships by ensuring the partners are suing all tools available to them, effectively merchandising their products on Amaozn.com, and expanding their selection.-Represent the company with partners and work with all relevant cross-functional areas and our technology teams to guarantee smooth, efficient implementation. Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism to interact with some of Amazon.com’s most strategic partners as well as with Amazon’s Retail, Legal, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service and Business development. Demonstrate ability to successfully mange client relationships and navigate partner organizations. Ideal candidate has prior product management and/or account management experience (or equivalent) with an online retailer or other technology products company. Quickly understand the cross-functional aspect of Amazon.com and be capable of navigating the intricacies of the company. Understand how to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities, be proactive and make things happen in a fast=paced, dynamic environment: able to “wear many hats.” Street smart. Excellent interpersonal skills and communications Strong analytical and qualitative skills and the ability to pull data from multiple sources for analyses. Minimum 2-3 years experience and a track record of complex and creative problem solving.
