Position: Network Specialist

Location: New York, NY
Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Objective: To be the primary tech liaison  on site to customer premises and Co-location services for deployment of hardware.

Primary Responsibilities:
To be the primary tech liaison on site to customer premises and co-location services for deployment of hardware.
•  Tech implementation in ISP infrastructure (via remote access)
•  Liaison with Co-location services and support providers
•  Colo equipment specification/purchasing
•  Scaling of colo provision including servers/bandwith/power  
•  DNS, server software, certificate and colo inventory management

Qualifications:
•  A UNIX (preferably Linux) background is essential
•  Successful candidate will have 2-4 years’ related IT experience: including: knowledge of ISP carrier offerings, preferably working inside an ISP
•  Understanding of web applications.   
•  Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, proxies
•  Deep knowledge of LAN and WAN design
•  Good customer service and presentation skills
•  Self-motivated, highly organized and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
•  Degree education or equivalent experience is essential
