This HireStrategy client is a leading provider of online asset recovery solutions to Fortune 500 corporations and government agencies. They are a profitable, rapidly growing market leader with over $100 million in annual gross revenues.  Headquartered in Washington D.C., the company operates award-winning online auction marketplaces for the sale of bulk surplus assets to over 900,000 professional buyers. 

Our client is currently seeking a talented, hungry Online Marketing Manager who can have an immediate and visible impact on a $100 MM+ company. In this role you will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for leveraging all online marketing venues to drive traffic to the company marketplace and raise visibility of their service among their target market. Major duties include, but are not limited to:
•  Leverage white-hat SEO techniques to drive a significant volume of new, qualified traffic to our website
•  Lead our permission e-mail marketing efforts; grow existing in-house lists significantly, and maximize deliverability, open rate, clickthrough rate and conversion rate through a cohesive, scientific testing plan.
•  Further the rapid growth and success of our affiliate program
o  Recruit new affiliates and conduct affiliate outreach
o  Develop and secure relationships with existing affiliates and proactively address any needs
o  Recommend and implement improvements to program to increase affiliate performance (i.e. promotions, newsletters, etc.)
•  Grow and optimize our SEM efforts on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other paid search platforms. Efforts to include bid optimization, creative testing, and landing page testing.
•  Optimize/merchandise the user experience on the website (upsells, cross-sells, etc.) to extract maximum value from site traffic.
•  Track, analyze, and report marketing results rapidly; act independently to change offers and testing strategies based on results.
•  Craft copy for marketing creative and collateral as needed
•  Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field, and will have 3-5 years progressive experience in online marketing. Additional requirements include:

•  Experience in and familiarity with all aspects of e-commerce and online marketing.
•  Proven results (with examples) in affiliate marketing (CJ, LinkShare, etc.), SEO, SEM (Google AdWords, Yahoo Search, MSN), e-mail/permission marketing and Web 2.0.
•  Very strong analytical and statistical skills
•  Ability to multi-task and react quickly in a rapidly-changing environment
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
•  Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
