Salem Press is the publisher of online databases licensed to libraries nationwide and is seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to manage new customer setup and ongoing maintenance.



 

The Position:

 

Tech Support Specialist will be responsible for handling all aspects of customer support in a help desk capacity via telephone and email.

 

Primary responsibility is to assist customer setup for IP authentication, remote access setup and a variety of online maintenance processes.

 

Secondary opportunities include ongoing product development contributions and community-building efforts via coordination with marketing.

 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate must have:

 

Demonstrated technical skills consisting of 2 – 5+ years of technical support/help desk experience. Customer service experience a plus.

 

A college degree, with a major or concentration in computing, a BS in a technical field or a technical college degree preferable.

 

Strong communication and organization skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.

 

Superior customer service and phone mannerism is required to handle support of Salem’s educated and sophisticated customer base.
