Duties:Assign, write and edit recipe-based articles, create menus, write blurbs, captions, intros, incidental text, newsletters, and possibly write or edit blogs and other user-contributed content; possibly develop and manage multimedia contributions, including videoCreate and maintain editorial calendar; work with content team to develop editorial themes; communicate editorial plans throughout companyImplement and maintain top-notch copy standards; copyedit all textDevelop, negotiate and manage content partner relationships; work with outside companies and individuals to expand content offeringWork with content team to integrate editorial in community and shopping areas of site and to devise sales-supporting initiativesCreate editorial events to energize and attract audience and advertisers; work with ad sales, marketing and other departments to maximize event promotion and revenue potentialContribute to product development and possibly (depending on candidate) write documentation, including treatments, wireframes and functional specifications; possible project management & QA of new site featuresAnalyze content statistics/performance and implement functional and reporting improvementsWith Community Manager, manage, organize and champion member-contributed content; interact with customer service; develop help and FAQ services; detect and solve member and interface problemsSpecial projects as assigned
Requirements:Three years in related field / workDemonstrated skill as writer, editor, copyeditor and problem-solverExtensive online familiarity / experience requiredExceptional recipe, food, cooking and/or culinary experience requiredBachelor's degree preferredOnline production / project management skills a plusVideo skill / production experience a plusDevelopment or use of Social Network services a plusComputer knowledge: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, minimal to moderate HTML
