Jupitermedia Corp. is looking for an Oracle Developer in its Mountainside, NJ office to be part of the Enterprise Data Architecture & Integration team supporting a variety of
Oracle databases.
The successful candidate will have experience writing and analyzing SQL
and PL/SQL code, as well as evaluating and tuning database code using
utilities such as tkprof.
Responsibilities:
Ÿ Extensive PL/SQL coding to support new and existing applicationsŸ Assisting in performance analysis and tuning of PL/SQL codeŸ Producing data mappings and performing migrations from legacy systemsŸ Working closely with web developers to produce scalable, efficient applicationsŸ Documenting existing code and database APIs
Qualifications:
Ÿ 2-3 years experience writing PL/SQL code, preferably for web applicationsŸ Knowledge of PL/SQL and the intricacies of SQLŸ An understanding of Oracle's database architectureŸ Familiarity with the tkprof tool, extended SQL trace files, data migrationŸ Experience implementing solutions using any of the following is a plus:
o Oracle Text
o Oracle Application Express
o Oracle Containers for Java ( OC4J )
o Oracle XML DB
Ÿ Good problem-solving abilitiesŸ Good communications skills. Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ÿ Good customer service skills.Ÿ Ability to handle simultaneous projects and tasks
