SUMMARY

The Account Executive will be responsible for representing the XploreU brand, generating and maintaining relationships with local and/or corporate businesses interested in the college student market, uniting advertisers and student members around the world.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Generate leads from local publications, radio and television stations, college publications, online sites geared towards the greater Chicagoland area, and OOH advertising.  Setting and keeping appointments on a local scale- at the minimum of 10 set appointments a week. Record all contact and personal information, along with any contact made, in any given sales software which will prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.Responsible for market research on the local Chicagoland area.Keep details records of mileage used on car for appointments, receipts used for sales appointments, and file monthly expense report not in excess of given monthly budget.Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up. Identify and resolve client concerns. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.  Attending all mandatory sales meetings in the XploreU Headquarters, as assigned by the SVP, SM or CEO Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events. Follow-up for collection of payment.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Must possess a BA/BS or equivalent degree in fields of marketing, BA, advertising/journalism- or related field.No less than 3 references must be presented (2 business, 1 personal)Sales numbers of past positions must be presented.  If this is a first time sales position, then course work/activity involvement in college will be analyzed and evaluated.Strong interpersonal, written, reading, research, and communication skills.Computer skills are a MUST.  (Internet, Power Point, Excel, Word/Works, ability to manipulate any PC or Apple compatible system)Positive disposition.Organizational skills.Ability to work in a team environment, while still exceeding monthly personal quotas. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license within 5 days of employment. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
