Responsible for researching women's apparel and accessories and effectively representing them through written content assets in GSI's Catalog Management database. Description Writers will develop product, technology, and market expertise in his or her writing categories, and will work closely with other members of the Content team, GSI's Buyers, sales reps, and vendors.o Research and provide the appropriate Content assets required for products in his or her writing categories. Product Description Writers will be expected to average between 30 and 50 product descriptions per day; between 75 and 100 licensed descriptions per day.o Take ownership of the products in his or her categories, with responsibility for completion, content, quality, quantity, and adherence to GSI's Style and Legal Guidelines.o Maintain a close working relationship with the Buyers, OBMs, sales reps, and vendors in his or her categories.o Develop an expertise of the merchandise in his or her writing categories, as well as a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, proprietary technologies, and product specifications. Compile, maintain, and utilize materials that help facilitate everyday operations, and actively seek out new technologies to effectively produce informed and consumer-focused descriptions.o Research, create, and utilize product templates (PAD) for universal representation and comparison shopping. o 1 to 2 years of professional writing and editing experienceo Strong command of grammar, word usage, syntax, etc.o Expertise in search engines and other online research toolso Computer proficiency in e-mail, Microsoft Office, and the Windows operating platformo Must be comfortable interacting with vendors and customer service representativeso Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline intensive environmento A team player with good interpersonal skillso Stong organizational and communication skills RESPOND HERE!
