Product Manager - Entertainment

The Product Manager - Entertainment is a dream job for a Web 2.0 Internet and business-savvy digital professional with a passion for new media and entertainment. The selected candidate will own the Web Portal Entertainment Channels experience spanning Music, Video, TV, Film and Games. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop strategy, product and content roadmap for each entertainment Channel

• Provide vision for ongoing evolution of each channel, from design and end user experience to new features and functionality. Create functional and business requirements, working with cross functional teams to oversee the ongoing design and development of each channel.

• Lead content strategy across various entertainment channels

• Manage cross functional teams to ensure the timely deployment of new partners and/or services

• Manage unique promotional requests pertaining to the Entertainment portal. Work with PIE group to support seamless integration between a’la carte, subscription and free content

• Proactively work with Advertising to drive search and advertising revenue on the Entertainment Portal

• Collaborate with other divisions to incorporate expertise into product line

• Collaborate to obtain Executive approval on product specification and present final product to Executive team

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred (Radio, TV or Media focus a plus)

• 3+Years of Online product development and management with an entertainment focus

• Proven track record building and delivering products within the interactive division of a major entertainment or consumer facing media company

• Creative problem solving abilities and innovative in development approach; proven ability to mult-task effectively

• Passion for games, music and Web video

• Knowledge of Web 2.0 trends and lifestyle

• Good judgment in key issue identification and resolution spanning multiple departments throughout the customer deployment lifecycle

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, required

• Knowledge of the web portals and content space preferred

• Understanding of product lifecycle from inception through delivery and post-delivery support preferred
