QA Analyst

Accoona Corp. has created an Internet search service devoted to surfacing the best community content available in online forums, www.twing.com This search and discovery tool is newly launched, and we are seeking an experienced QA Analyst, one well-versed on consumer-facing websites who thrives in a startup environment. The QA Analyst will develop test plans and scripts from technical and business documentation. We seek someone with internet search understanding and strong technical knowledge.Essential Job Functions:- Develop test plans and scripts from technical and business documentation.- Work with developers to understand required testing scenarios.- Write test plans and test cases, execute tests and report results.- Perform post production testing.- Implement automated testing processes for unit and system level testing.- Document and communicate results with management and developers.- Promote processes to decrease risk.Experience - At least 3 years working in a Software Quality Assurance role.- Hands on development and execution of complete test plans for Web based applications in a Linux/Apache/Tomcat/Java environment.- Hands on development of scripts and other tools to automate the testing process.- Demonstrated expertise in using major testing tools such as QuickTest Pro and LoadRunner.- Prior work applying functional and regression testing techniques.- Use of common Linux tools to manipulate data to create test conditions, validate results, etc.Skills - Strong technical knowledge of UNIX and Windows.- Knowledge of Mercury Interactive QuickTest Pro, LoadRunner and Quality Center.- SQL skills to be able to query tables and set up test cases- Strong scripting ability using various scripting tools and languages- Knowledge of web and application servers in a UNIX environment.- Familiarity with defect tracking tools.- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Unable to sponsor H1B Visas at this time.
