Release Coordinator

The Release Coordinator is the central coordination point for the planning, integration, testing and deployment of web related application releases.  The work is fast paced and requires leadership, passion, adaptability, excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, great organizational skills, attention to detail and self motivation.  The role is highly cross-functional and succeeds through cooperation and influence, rather than positional authority. Responsibilities: The release project manager plans, organizes and drives deployment of new web related application releases working in tandem with other project managers, development leads, operations leads, quality leaders, product managers, and their teams. Surface issues with on-going releases and make proactive recommendations for solutions to the project team and management. Communicate with team members and business stakeholders to establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress of releases. Implement best practices and process to aid in coordination and management of releases. Prepare reports for management regarding release status.  Requirements: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field of study in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle extensive documentation on a timely basis. Attention to detail and superior follow-through. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people: creative, technical, management, and marketing. Familiarity with web service architectures, web hosting, data processing using basic network and security knowledge. Knowledge of iterative development methodologies preferred (Agile/XP, SCRUM). Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to communicate complex ideas/issues.
