As a Reporter for LightReading.com you will utilize your previous journalism experience and creativity to write daily news stories, reports and blogs for Light Reading’s website.  You will have an opportunity to cover industry events.  Your ability to think independently and draw an audience to your articles, will enable you to excel in this role.

Job responsibilities include:Writing daily articles, reports, blogs, covering the telecom infrastructure business (VOIP, Optical Networking, etc)Research story ideas, talk to sources daily, stay abreast of relevant websites and articlesInteract with Light Reading’s audience by posting to message boards, attending tradeshows and industry events, and responding to email inquiries

Job Requirements:

 Bachelors Degree preferred2-3 years journalism experience a mustGood understanding of telecom infrastructure businessWorking knowledge of the process telecom carriers use to procure equipment for network buildoutsAbility to write creative articles that will draw and build upon the website’s audienceSome travel required to attend events/tradeshows
