Overview:

 

The primary role of the Requirements Analyst is to work within a team environment to discover, document, and communicate software needs, desires and ideas for software solutions within the FT Search customer base.  The person in this position captures the requirements and detailed specifications in documents such as use case models and supplementary specifications. 

 

It is important for the Requirements Analyst to build a broad based consensus for both the strategic and tactical utilization of solutions. 

The Analyst must understand business functions, strategy, and the right technologies needed to support adoption.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Analyze internal and external customer needs to capture functional and non-functional software requirements.

· Gather, document and integrate requirements for business processes and/or systems.

· Maintain requirements and specifications through configuration modification and other usage change control processes.

· Meet with users to map business processes, generate requirements documents, conduct impact and change control analyses and assist in user acceptance testing.

· Prepare charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submit recommendations for solution.

· Responsible for providing post implementation support such as tracking system enhancements.

 

 

Requirements:

 3- 5 years experience in a business or related systems analysis role.Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.  IT methodology tools experience is preferred.Demonstrated experience and skills in solution analysis and process definition in the following areas:

 

-  Gathering requirements from users; requirements facilitation skills, tracing requirements through SDLC.

-  Documenting requirements (including application configuration, system design, and user interface requirements).

 Strong communication skills, written and verbal, are required.  General project management skills are also desirable.
