SENIOR QA ENGINEER

If this sounds like a great opportunity then send your resume in now for consideration!  Responsibilities: Lead QA efforts for at least one Agile development team Create and execute functional test plans Judiciously select and automate testing in key functional areas Create and execute security, load, and performance testing Provide third-level technical support, troubleshooting and bug fixing for customer problems Communicate with peers and management to assess needs, risk and progress Coordinate team releases with QA and release engineers Enhance QA processes, practices and tools Train and mentor junior QA engineers Qualifications: 5+ Years professional QA engineering experience 3-5 Years experience with test automation tools (JUnit, HTTPUnit, PHPUnit, SimpleTest, Selenium, etc.) highly desired. Experience with most commercial testing tools is NOT a plus. At least two years software development experience on a medium to large team using a third generation (C, C++, Java) or scripting (PHP, Perl, Python) language in a Unix environment Experience testing complex public-facing Web applications Proficient with Unix shell scripting and administering your own Unix box An understanding of relational database structure and queries (SQL) Ability to convey risk assessments back to management and peers Experience with some source control management system: Perforce, CVS, Subversion, ClearCase, PVCS, or BitKeeper Experience with some bug reporting system: Bugzilla, Trac, JIRA Ability to discharge many concurrent tasks on tight deadlines Bonus: Experience writing automated functional test cases within a test-driven development (TDD) process Experience with agile programming methodologies, such as XP, Scrum, or Crystal Clear Experience testing Web applications written in PHP, JavaScript and Flash Administration of some bug reporting system: Bugzilla, Trac, JIRA Administration of some source control management system: Perforce, CVS, Subversion, ClearCase, PVCS, or BitKeeper Fundamental understanding of WWW programming, including Web server configuration and Internet protocols (HTTP, SOAP) and declarative languages (XML, HTML) Advanced Unix system and/or network administration experience Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Fluent in one or more non-English languages QA, development, quality assurance, manual, automated, unix, linux, testing, QA, development, quality assurance, manual, automated, unix, linux, testing, QA, development, quality assurance, manual, automated, unix, linux, testing, QA, development, quality assurance, manual, automated, unix, linux, testing, QA, development, quality assurance, manual, automated, unix, linux, testing  Position Title: SENIOR QA ENGINEER Company: The Select Group Location: Raleigh, NC 27607 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Contact: Paige Goss Email: Apply by Email
