SENIOR WEB DESIGNER

Our client, an interactive agency in lower Manhattan is looking for a talented Senior Web Designer.

They are ranked among the top 100 top agencies and they are out to transform the entire role of communications by creating "interactive brand experiences" both offline (events, guerrilla, etc.) and online (websites, viral, etc.) that simply and most importantly, cut through.

 

This talented senior digital designer, beginning with strategy, will help translate concepts into compelling design. They will be comfortable overseeing junior designers, presenting work in meetings as well as to clients. This person will be able to work well on large project teams that include Flash designers, motion designers, interaction designers, production artists and account supervisors.

 

Requirements:

 

*Be able to execute and conceptualize.

*Excellent visual communication skills, including design concepts, typography, layout, and interactive design

*Experience designing aesthetically rich, engaging interactive experiences
*Ability to work under tight deadlines
*Flash knowledge strongly desired. Although you will work alongside a Flash programmer to execute the work, you must know the program well enough to understand its capabilities and/or limitations.
*In-depth understanding of HTML/DHTML and the capabilities of web browsers. Experience with other interactive media such as mobile technology.
*5+ years of online design; agency experience preferred. Large e-commerce design a big plus.

* Not looking for an art director.
