Job Summary:
The Sales Accountant will be an integral team member in monitoring and maintaining Dotster’s high volume ecommerce business model.  This person will be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and recording of online sales and related cost of goods sold in the financial system.  .

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

 

· The daily import and posting of online sales and related reconciliation

· Partner with development to resolve issues identified from the sales reconciliation

· Maintain documentation of the cash sales and inventory purchase processes

· Continually seek ways to improve sales and inventory purchases processes and controls

· Import and post inventory purchases into the accounting system

· Reconciliation of inventory purchases/cost of goods sold for domain registries

· Monitor and recommend funding of vendor accounts in support of inventory purchases

· Product code maintenance and testing within the accounting

· Maintain standard cost within the accounting system

· Contributor to monthly accounting close cycle

· Monthly commission calculations

· Work with Finance Controller regarding the sales cycle during annual financial audit

· Support Finance and Accounting as needed

· Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills:Solid knowledge of accounting systems and the sales cycleGeneral understanding of standard costing systemsGeneral understanding of databases technologyIn-depth experience with large reconciliationsProven experience in using Excel and Access to solve business problems and increase efficiencies Using and modifying database queries to extract data Maintain positive relationships with internal and external resources

Requirements:2-4 years of accounting experienceUndergraduate degree with accounting, finance majorGreat Plains or major integrated accounting system experience preferredProven experience in using Excel and Access to solve business problemsMIS experience a plus

 

 

Job Conditions:

· Based in Vancouver, Washington; at times travel may be required
