As a Sales Engineer working out of our corporate headquarters in San Francisco, CA, your primary mission will be to consult with prospective customers to gain an understanding of their business and technical requirements, translate those requirements into a comprehensive Statement of Work that can be implemented by the Professional Services team, and successfully deliver the Reality Digital value proposition. This position will require up to 50% travel to our prospects’ sites throughout the United States. As you work closely with our customers, you will be a valuable conduit in helping translate technical concepts, drilling down on technical issues and providing feedback from customers and future users back to the sales and product development teams. While you support sales executives by understanding and translating client needs and mapping those needs to our technology platform, you will also explore possible solutions, set appropriate expectations due to product abilities and limitations, with the end result of closing deals. Your excellent business communication and organization skills, coupled with hands-on experience with web services, Ajax and SOAP API integration, Flash and online video, will allow you to develop and pursue sales leads through direct contact with potential customers and through trade shows and industry publications. This is an outstanding role for the engineer who enjoys client interaction, loves the latest technologies, and is looking for an opportunity to grow.
