The Company:TicketWeb, a product of Ticketmaster, Inc. is a self-service online ticketing and event marketing application operated by Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company. The proprietary system allows venues and event providers of any size to manage the full range of box office operations on the Web, with the added value of integration and distribution through Ticketmaster.com, the world's #1 ticketing portal. TicketWeb was established in 1995 and currently serves more than 3,000 venues, events and promoters across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, including popular live music venues such as the Highline Ballroom in New York, the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Spaceland in Los Angeles, and the Shepherds Bush Empire in London. Role: Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue and managing TicketWeb’s East Coast client base. This is accomplished by proactively calling prospects and renewing existing partnerships. Clients cover a wide range of entertainment genres, but primary focus is within the independent/emerging music industry. A successful candidate will understand the economics of the entertainment industry and demonstrate the ability gain access to decision makers. The Sales Manager will also work with Ticketmaster Regional Vice Presidents and General Managers to engage in strategic and budget planning. This position will be based in Ticketmaster’s New York City office and report to the Northeastern Regional Vice President at Ticketmaster. Responsibilities: · Generate leads and cold-calling prospective clients · Prepare presentations using power point and complete RFPs· Set up in-person meetings and demonstrations of the TicketWeb system for potential clients· Develop relationships with existing clients to increase sales and client satisfaction· Network through current clients to identify new prospects· Understand the competitive landscape and develop the ability to differentiate TicketWeb from the competition· Work with local Ticketmaster regional offices on joint sales efforts· Renew ticketing agreements with existing clients· Stay updated on both music and ticketing industry developments and changes Qualifications: § BA/BS required§ 5 years Sales Experience§ Ticketing or music business experience, with knowledge of the independent/emerging music industry a strong plus§ Proven ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with both business people and independent music promoters and club owners§ Ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with promoters, venue owners, influencers, and industry executives in the entertainment space§ Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills§ Knowledge of Internet commerce a plus§ Able to think at a strategic level and work at a tactical level§ Self-starter with high levels of initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills§ Consultative approach to building trust, identifying opportunities and developing strategies that benefit both the company and the client§ Flexibility that allows effective teamwork with people at all levels of the organization Competitive compensation and benefits package offered.
