The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for the timely development and deployment for a variety of projects for the Classmates Online Email Program. Join the Program Management Office at Classmates and be responsible for facilitating scope agreement, project objectives, participants and schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This position acts as the lead for the Tactical Email Program Manager to coordinate change control and resource allocation with strategic initiatives. The successful Program Manager will consolidate input and be liaison to internal groups such as Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Executive Management, and the rest of the PMO team. They will facilitate resolution of technical, design, product development and operational readiness issues. They will be responsible for managing the overall deployment plan and schedule for major releases including new or enhanced features, coordination for operational readiness, and communicating status to cross functional project stakeholders.

 

The Job Requirements:

•Three to five years experience leading large project and or program development teams through complex development cycles, managing multiple, large-scale projects focused on strategy, vision, and eBusiness technology.

•Three to five years experience managing successful consumer software development programs/projects in a web-based environment. 

•Solid consensus-building ability and strategic consulting experience.

•Exceptional internal and external client management and interaction skills, including high-level vision and leadership ability – be able to frame the problems facing implementation.

•Working knowledge of technologies and design components specific to the Internet and software development.

•Experience writing high-level design documents (functional and technical specifications) and executing project plans from these documents.

•Two years of experience with projects using technologies such as Java, J2EE, Oracle, on a Unix platform preferred.

•Excellent written, oral, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills are required.

•Project management skills including:  project management principles, tools, and techniques, Microsoft Project required.

•BS Degree and project management certification (PMP) preferred.

•Working knowledge & experience of MS Project Server a plus.
