Conducts database and network interfacing * Maintains integrity/compatibility of software between releases * Maintains one’s own professional development; including continuous learning of new SAP products/technologies, and communicating experiences and solutions to fellow colleagues EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS* Understanding of SAP’s methodology tools for the product area supported. * Experience in setting up JDI * Experience in SLD configuration * Strong Coding Skills in Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, STRUTS, Java Beans, XML, XSL and PL/SQL Programming * Should have 3 to 8 years of experience in designing, developing and deploying web/j2ee applications * The candidate must have excellent programming skills using J2EE technologies with good command over design tools, development and deployment experience on BEA WebLogic, Apache Tomcat application servers * Deployment and integration Skills using BEA Web logic, IBM Websphere OR Apache TOMCAT, or Oracle Application Server * Should have capabilities to manage module or small team if required and should have experience in one or more complete life cycle modules * Should have Database design and PL/SQL coding experience on Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and any other RDBMS * Knowledge on Web services, EAI, SAP, SAP Netweaver, LDAP or other identity management systems and workflow systems WORK EXPERIENCE [bulet]Experience with Java, J2EE, web application development, XML, Javascript * Technical and functional SAP expertise in the area of SAP NetWeaver * Experience with portal technology, XI * Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Windows.NET Framework bullet]Understanding of SAP Products (e.g. SAP ESS and SAP MSS) * Debugging, programming, database administration, system/program performance tuning, network, web service development or similar skills are an advantage * Experience in Project work * Experience Technology (R/3, Basis or NW) as a consultant * 4+ Years (WebAS, Security, Performance Tuning, ITS, Upgrades, R/3, etc.) Web TechnologiesTRAVEL limited travel.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Degree in computer science or engineering related discipline SAP Netweaver:* Minimum of 4+ years experience as a technical consultant or system integrator * Technically savvy regarding distributing computing platforms including experience with Web Services technologies, Java/J2EE APIs, XML/XSL standards and service oriented architectures * Understanding of and experience with SAP’s Netweaver, versions of Enterprise Portal, Java Web Application Server, Exchange Infrastructure (XI) and solution Manager. * SAP Product Experience: * 4+ Years SAP Technical Experience * 4+ Years Web Technologies/Architectures, security and Java programming * Experience with systems sizing, landscape design, & performance management * Experience with integration with other SAP products & to back-end systems for the product area supported * Understanding of SAP’s methodology tools for the product area supported   Title: Senior Development Consultant (Application)Company: SAPLocation: Palo Alto, CA 94304Status: Full Time, EmployeeJob Category: Creative/Design
