A Chicago-based marketing communications Agency is seeking to hire a Senior Interactive Designer to further expand our online capabilities. The Senior Interactive Designer will support online and Interactive initiatives, directing the process from concept to completion. This includes crafting the interface and end-user experience, developing visual prototypes and wireframes, information architecture, managing production and implementation, as well as educating team members on the technologies involved.

 

This individual will identify and propose actionable and effective online solutions that meet the needs of our clients, collaborating with account and creative teams to develop new business opportunities and exciting new site experiences, while ensuring brand and strategic alignment on all initiatives.

 

The Senior Interactive Designer will be expected to keep track of emerging trends within the industry and have advanced knowledge of Internet and Web technologies, content and best practices. An understanding of the importance of design in strategic business thinking is essential, as is knowledge of user-centered design. Must have a strong aesthetic sense and intuitive understanding of what makes a truly great Interactive experience, as well as the ability to establish a vision and drive concepts and strategies through the creative and development process. Position also involves managing project schedules in a fast paced environment.

Position Requirements:

 

- 7 years Interactive design experience with a focus on online marketing

- Knowledge and understanding of Interactive media, including experience with social media, video/podcasting, blogging and Web 2.0 applications

- Ability to be creative and innovative while adhering to brand guidelines and best practices for web and email

- Thorough understanding of digital design and production workflow for web and multimedia projects, including online marketing and advertising

- Strong Web technology background: Dreamweaver/Flash/Photoshop/Illustrator
- Expert in HTML coding and CSS

- Knowledge of PHP, ASP, DHTML, Java Script and Action Script

- Strong knowledge of SEO and CMS a plus
- BA degree in Interface Design or Graphic Design is preferred
