Senior Inventory Planner/Control Buyer, Shoes Amazon is looking for an Inventory Planner/Control Buyer with proven experience delivering results to own inventory planning for several categories within Shoes.  The Control Buyer works closely with the buyers to manage & optimize purchases, in-stock, and inventory.  They perform cost-analysis and volume planning for all products in their category.  Develop and execute category level inventory strategies to maximize sales, margin and turn.  End to end ownership from manufacturer to customer, including improving in-stock, fill rates, and improving communication with vendors.  The successful candidate must possess the ability to operate from a cross-company perspective and encourage cross-functional and cross-business project development.  This person will be responsible for planning for both amazon.com shoes and for endless.com. Key responsibilities: Manage inventory, open-to-buy, purchasing process, and inventory health Manage inbound shipments: fill rate, ASNs, operational issues, lead time Participate in manufacturer and vendor reviews; drive vendor operational improvement through measurement and process improvement Analyze inventory position, landed cost, and sku performance to optimize sales, profitability, and customer experience Partner with buyers in driving sales and profitability growth for Shoes categories Strong numerical and analytical aptitude Strong written and verbal communication skills Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment Detail oriented Team player Proactive attitude A bachelor's degree is required Ability to travel around once a quarter
