Job Description:

The Senior Network Engineer will be part of the Technical Services team, responsible for Copart's E-Business/E-Commerce and Corporate network infrastructure. This person would be expected to interface and work with other members of the team, which includes other network engineers, AS/400, and Unix administrators, as well as the development, QA groups, helpdesk, project managers, remote datacenters, and remote offices.

Designated responsibilities will include normal day-to-day operations of a highly available network, consisting of Cisco routers, switches, load balancers, intrusion detection, and VPN concentrators, and firewalls. Candidate must have the ability to architect and analyze new and existing networks.

Installation, configuration, and management of all network components and technology. Must be able to create and maintain network and disaster recovery plans, and act as a backup to the firewall admin.

Also, as we are a geographically disparate company, there may be times in which this person will have to work weekends or outside normal work hours to assist the team in completing projects or emergencies that encompass remote or local sites.

This position requires the individual to participate in on-call rotation.

  5+ years network engineering experience CCNS, CCNP, or CCIE BGP in a multi-homed, multi-site environment (this is important) EIGRP RIP MPLS and Frame Relay WAN Technologies Cisco IOS (Switches and Routers) Cisco IDS, SNORT Cisco CSS and CSM (Content Switching) Cisco PIX and FWSM Cisco ACS Fortigate Firewall Bash Shell or Perl Scripting Wireless TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, SMTP, POP, HTTP, NTP, SSH Visio Network Drawings Writing of technical documentation, designs, proposals, and procedures Well Organized

Other technologies the candidate must be conversant in: Unix and Windows 2000 Networking Network Monitoring Unix/Network Attached Storage and NFS Experience is a plus Familiarity with the Java security model is a plus Cisco GSS (Global Load Balancing) BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
