Position duties include, but are not limited to:' Tune, optimize and monitor the database clusters and instances to achieve optimal performance in meeting defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).' Implement various database schema changes in instances and maintain those changes through strict configuration management.' Assist in the definition and execution of release strategies for versioned changes to roll out across development, staging, pre-production and production tiers.' Provide direct release management support to development and testing teams for their database needs. ' Five or more years working as a DBA in an Oracle environment.' LINUX system knowledge sufficient to configure, maintain and monitor an Oracle instance(s).' Demonstrated knowledge of clusterware to support 24 X 7 high availability database environments.' Demonstrated knowledge of replication technologies (DataGuard, Streams, GoldenGate, 3rd party) to support synchronized database environments.' Demonstrated proficiency of SQL and query optimization.' Effective verbal and written skills.' Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.' Red Hat Linux preferred.' Oracle 10g or 11g experience preferred.'
